Partnerships in church planting include institutions, people of prayer, launch team participants, and financial investors.
1. Here are a few of the institutions that are significant for GCCP:
- Mission to North America is the church planting ministry of the Presbyterian Church in America. Phil and Polly have been assessed and approved by MNA.
- The Presbyterian Church in America is a denomination with historic roots in biblical Christianity. In South Jersey, the PCA's regional church is the Presbytery of New Jersey. Its people and churches will share in this new work.
- The New Jersey Presbytery has enlisted counsel and experience from the Metro Philadelphia Church Planting Partnership. This brings with it benefits to the Henrys such as Church Planting Community, coaching resources, and kingdom prayer.
- Acts 29 is a missional and reformed movement of church planters and church planting.
2. People of prayer undergird all the work that is done in a church plant. Currently, the Henrys publish a twice-monthly prayer letter which their prayer supporters can use to ask God to help and bless this new work.
3. Launch team members are people who personally are called to participate in the "launching" or initiation of this new work. They bring myriad gifts at a foundational level for this new church community, including leadership, outreach, networking, resources, time, talent, and treasure.
4. Financial sponsors are people and institutions whose partnership limitations prevents them from being personally involved, but who have financial resources that play a critial role in the first three to four years of the new church community.
